Andrew Woodhead/Elliot Galvin Duo

This project is a new collaboration between two of the country’s most exciting young pianists. Elliot Galvin was a Yamaha Jazz Scholar 2013 and won of the 2014 European Young Jazz Artist of the Year Award with his Trio; Andrew Woodhead was awarded the Dankworth Prize for Jazz Composition in 2014 and is establishing himself as one of the leading figures on Birmingham’s Jazz/Improvised Music Scene. Together they will be playing brand new compositions and arrangements, drawing inspiration from the music of JS Bach as well as their own wide-ranging influences and interests.
