Both Sides of Blue explores the repertoire, compositions and stylistic variety of one of the most influential and acclaimed figures in 20th Century jazz. Over a career that lasted for five decades, Miles Davis was one of jazzs great innovators. His music, which was continually evolving, managed to combine artistic integrity with popular appeal and heralded many of the stylistic transformations that characterised the evolution of jazz during the 20th Century.
