It is a great tribute to the local Royal Birmingham Conservatoire that it had two finalists in the BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year. James was one of them and we welcome him to this inaugural gig for Birmingham Jazz.  He will be playing a selection of originals and songs from composers that have inspired him over the past few years, ranging from modern to traditional jazz.
