Fabienne Ambuehl
Fabienne Ambuehl is known for her vibrant contemporary jazz, weaving together elements of poetry and storytelling. Her latest album Thrive, released on Ubuntu Music, won “Jazz Recording of The Year” at the 2025 Presto Music Awards. The music of the London-based, Swiss-born pianist, singer and composer receives widespread acclaim from the international jazz press. With fluid, expressive piano playing and emotive vocals, her sound is lyrical and rich in detail, drawing inspiration from both the natural world and urban life. The debut albumGlitterwoods (Traumton, Berlin), was named ‘Album of the Year’ by UK Vibe and she has since worked with different artists internationally, including a musical residency in Senegal funded by Arts Council England and appearing as the improvising soloist with Jazzchor Freiburg at the Eurovision Choir contest in Riga, Latvia. Thrive was selected as ‘Album of the Week’ by both Presto Music and Germany’s Rondo Magazine, and had regular radio play.
